It’s been a long time coming…
I haven’t sent a newsletter or written a blog for, um, a couple of years. Oops!
(So long that the formatting in here has completely changed and I have no idea what I’m doing, lol…)
But poor Greta has finally made her way into the world, and I’m so happy that I’ll be launching it with some awesome events throughout September. I’ll be celebrating The Sun Queen’s Apprentice in Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane and on the Central Coast, so come say hi if you’re at any of the following events…

Although the official release is September 23, the spring equinox, I did have some early copies at the recent Australian Fairy Tale Conference in Melbourne, and I was so touched to see the first review.
“The Sun Queen’s Apprentice is a beautiful, action-packed and vibrant coming-of-age novel filled with witchy, pagan and fairy-tale magic. It takes place in lands governed by the seasons – where animals talk and plants sing, and a young woman has lost her betrothed. She must journey to find him, but like the best fantasy adventures she finds bits of herself along the way.
It’s difficult to write a review without spoilers so I will just say this: this book is a perceptive little page-turner that takes you through a young woman’s desire to be loved and wanted, and proves that the yearning for romance you think you want isn’t always the type you get – these things might end up being even be better than anything you could imagine for yourself.
Oh, and brilliantly, there is such a feeling of optimism all the way through, despite some very dark and violent sidetracks. It shows that there is never only one life, you could choose many, but the path you are on will always bring options. The choice of where and who you end up with, is with you.
