After a long plane trip to London, our excellent adventure begins!
With thanks… Saturday October 15…
Wishing everyone much love, joy and magic on this beautiful full moon night. May its sweet light illuminate you with inspiration and inner wisdom this month, and inspire you to work towards your dreams and goals… We’re on a plane to the UK, so I’m feeling extra close to the lunar orb as we fly through the sky. Bright blessings xx
Today I am grateful for a cruisy morning – an hour of BodyCombat, then packing for our adventure…
I’m grateful for a farewell lunch with Mum, Margie and Pete…
And I’m grateful for the beginning of Juz and my adventure! It’s a pretty hellish flight – more than 24 hours – but we survived 🙂 And I finally got to see Me Before You, Confirmation and X-Men: Days of Future Past, in between a couple of hours of bad sleep and a brief stop in Dubai to refuel…
With thanks… Sunday October 16…
Tonight I am grateful for a wonderful night with Dan and Hermione, wandering through London under the beauty of the full moon, visiting comic shops, racing through the underground, having dinner in a cute diner and chatting for hours…
I’m grateful that we found our cute London apartment when we staggered off the plane at stupid o’clock, bleary eyed and delirious…
Not so glad that we couldn’t actually check in for several hours, but at least we could drop off our suitcases…
I’m grateful to Juz for braving the tube again and coming to Chelsea Physic Garden with me. It was so beautiful to wander through the flower beds, and visit the poisons section, and take the little tour, and breathe in the sweet fragrant air and peace that lies within the ancient stone walls.
And I’m grateful for a hot shower (omg, it’s the little things for sure!) and a cup of tea, before we headed out to catch up with our friends, then collapsed into bed…
With thanks… Monday October 17…
Today I am grateful for a slow start to the day – jetlag and the time difference are a pretty potent mix. We headed out to wander around the city, walking across Tower Bridge, and around the Tower, then along the river, before having lunch at the Something-About-Lewis-Carroll pub (Carpenter and Walrus)…
I’m grateful for cups of tea and colourful streets and comic book stores and parkland and statues and the most adorable squirrels in St James Park, who bounced and pounced across the grass and through the trees, then came over (because they recognised the man standing next to us, who brings them nuts every afternoon), and started to climb Juz’s leg, thinking he might have some too.
And I’m grateful for a quiet night, dinner at home (I’d really been craving salad), and an early night…
