This month I am grateful for a beautiful eleventh anniversary with my beloved, to everyone who sponsored me for Steptember, and for the Into the Mists Trilogy ebook becoming available...

With thanks… Thursday September 1… H&C day 25 – 13,322 steps… New moon blessings…
Wishing everyone all the love, energy and inspiration of the new moon, and the solar eclipse, and the passion and power to begin whatever it is you’ve been longing to manifest into the world… May the coming month unfold with all the promise and potential you seek, and you work hard to make your dreams come true… xx
Today I am happy that Steptember has kicked off, and grateful to two friends for doing it with me. It was a rest day for Hammer and Chisel, so I did BodyCombat, which was a nice fun change, and helped me pass 13K steps for the day…
I’m grateful for time to work on my book, and for beautiful comments about Carlie’s story…
And while I did make it to bed by midnight, I ended up lying awake for ages, thinking about one of my characters, and having to get up and type notes into my phone…

With thanks… Friday September 2… H&C day 26 – 14,323 steps…
Tonight I am grateful for a fun birthday dinner with Juz and my aunty and uncle, and lots of laughter…
I’m happy I got up early to work out before work – Iso Speed Hammer isn’t my favourite, but I got it done – and also managed to pass 14K steps for the day, and 70,554 the last five days…
I’m glad I got lots of work done at the magazines – can’t wait to get this issue sent next week…
I’m happy I made time to read a little before bed…
And I’m so sad that a friend died today. Words don’t seem enough, but she will be missed so much…

With thanks… Saturday September 3… H&C day 27 – 12,050 steps…
Today I am grateful for a day at home with Juz…
I’m happy I got some writing done…
I’m grateful for an awesome hour of BodyCombat…
And I’m grateful for a quiet night in with Juz…

With thanks… Sunday September 4… H&C day 28 – 12,815 steps…
Today I am grateful for a day at home with Juz…
I’m glad I got a bit of writing done on the book…
I’m happy I got my workout done – Hammer Power, which I quite liked, and it’s always nice to go up in weight on a few moves. Had to go out for a walk in the afternoon to get my steps up for Steptember though…
And I’m grateful for a lovely night with Juz, although sad that the weekend had come to an end…

With thanks… Monday September 5… H&C day 29 – 10,996 steps…
Tonight I am so grateful to a sweet friend for a lovely surprise in the mail, an awesome Harry Potter tea mug! It had been a long and stressy day at work, which made it even better 🙂
I’m grateful for a friend taking a cool pic of one of my books in a shop in Bowral…
I’m glad that I got my workout in before work – Total Body Chisel was pretty cool, and I upped my weights a little from the last time I did it. And I hit my Steptember target – although couldn’t believe I was only four steps off 11K, ha ha…
And I’m happy that I stayed up way too late again to finish reading Providence Unveiled, the third book in Selina Fenech’s Memory’s Wake Trilogy – it’s so amazing and beautiful and intriguing and magical…

With thanks… Tuesday September 6… H&C day 30 – 10,133 steps…
Today I’m glad tomorrow is another day 🙂
Woke up with a shocker migraine, which no amount of painkillers would dent, so I couldn’t bring myself to work out 🙁 Work was tough too, but we had to send a magazine, so I had to go in. But I got it all done, and could finally escape for some time with Juz, before going to bed early – and staying there for 11 hours…

Into the Mists, teaWith thanks… Wednesday September 7… H&C day 31 – 10,281 steps…
Today I am grateful to my two friends who are doing Steptember with me – it makes it much more fun and encourages me to keep going – and so grateful to the people who have sponsored me…
I’m happy that I finally got the Into the Mists Trilogy ebook sorted for Amazon…
I was still feeling a little zonked from yesterday’s migraine, and did ponder having another rest day, but I finally got my act together and hit play, mostly cos I needed to hit 10K steps 🙂 And Hammer Power is growing on me. I’m always happy when I can up the weights on a couple of moves, and for a strictly lifting-weights workout, it’s amazing how much my heart rate increases and I end up red-cheeked like I’ve just done an hour of cardio. I did add sprints between moves to help reach my Steptember step count though 🙂
And I’m grateful for time with Juz when he got home, making dinner together, an episode of Big Bang (laughed hysterically at Howard’s Fitbit step-making machine – could have definitely gone for that today!), drinking tea, reading together – the childhood favourite I finally tracked down on ebay – and catching up on our days…

With thanks… Thursday September 8… H&C day 32 – 10,550 steps…
Today I am grateful for a day at home to write, and that I got part of a chapter written for this book that just keeps getting longer and longer and more and more complex… Plus I caught up on my With Thanks notes – which, a week later, I’m now doing again, sigh…
I’m glad I made it through another tough Hammer and Chisel workout, Chisel Balance. I upped my weights on a couple of moves, but the last one still sucks! And I’m glad I still hit my Steptember target – week two begins!
And I’m grateful for time with Juz when he got home from work…

With thanks… Friday September 9… H&C day 33 – 14,788 steps…
Today I am so grateful for a lovely night in with Juz when I finally got home after a crazy busy day at the magazines…
I’m glad I got up early and got through my workout before work. After working out late last night, it was tough to back it up and go again only twelve hours later, but I’m determined/stubborn. I don’t love this one (Iso Speed Hammer), but I did half an hour of Combat afterwards, and Combat makes everything better, so all good 🙂
I’m glad I got lots done at the magazines, despite some pesky technological frustrations…
And I’m glad it’s Friday! xx

With thanks… Saturday September 10… H&C day 34 – 11,759 steps…
Today I am grateful that we have the right to vote, when so many don’t. And although our awesome member wasn’t elected Lord Mayor, she was returned to council, and will continue working to address the high rate of homelessness in the city, along with other awesome initiatives she’s long supported. And if it had to be anyone else, Clover Moore is a pretty impressive Lord Mayor 🙂
I really didn’t want to work out – but I did – Chisel Endurance, plus a few walks, so I did well on my steps…
I’m glad I did a little bit of work on the book…
And I’m grateful for time to chill out with Juz, read books, drink tea and just hang out…

With thanks… Sunday September 11… H&C day 35 – 10,048 steps…
Today I am so grateful for a day at home with Juz – for some reason we’re appreciating weekends even more than usual at the moment 🙂
I’m happy I did a little bit of writing…
I’m glad I’m starting to like today’s workout, Total Body Hammer – I went up in weights, and pushed hard, and could feel it pretty soon after. It counts as sweet FA steps on my Fitbit, so I only just passed 10K, but Steptember credits weights workouts, and it converted today’s to an extra 5000 steps, so all good!
And I’m grateful for a quiet night in with Juz…

With thanks… Monday September 12… H&C day 36 – 15,557 steps…
Today I am grateful for a couple of book orders…
I’m grateful it was Chisel Agility today – which means Body Combat for me! Which always makes me happy 🙂
I’m glad I got another magazine finished and sent off for approval – trying to get four issues ahead so I can have a holiday!
And although I stayed up way too late dreaming of foreign lands, I’m glad I was still up when Juz got home from stocktake, and we could drink tea and catch up 🙂

With thanks… Tuesday September 13… H&C day 37 – 12,141 steps…
Today I am so grateful to Selina Fenech – her beautiful artwork is such a big part of the Mists books, and I know the stories wouldn’t be quite the same without their gorgeous covers. And I’m so excited, and so grateful, that the next few stories and their covers are planned out. (It blows my mind that Selina is such an amazing author too!)
I’m grateful that I could meet a friend for lunch, and amazed by how much talking we managed to fit in 🙂
I’m glad I managed to squeeze lots of work in at the magazines – working late helped I guess…
I’m happy that I did some book writing/editing on the train to work and back…
I’m glad I got up early and got through my workouts before work – today was Hammer Conditioning and Hammer Abs – and that I managed to pass 12,000 steps for the day – the power walk up to the post office in the morning helped, plus hitting the stairs at work every hour or two…
And I’m grateful for time to catch up with Juz when he got home super late from another day of stocktake…

Little Friends, BodyCombatWith thanks… Wednesday September 14… H&C day 38 – 10,108 steps…
Hmm, not sure I’ll ever properly catch-up – I seem to find myself trying to remember every Wednesday, what happened a week ago, but forgetting to note down what happened that day…
But today I was grateful for a day at home, even though I didn’t get much writing done. I sorted out other things though, did some outlining, and planned a mini writing retreat with the Story Queens…
And I was happy to take my Hammer and Chisel rest day this week 🙂

With thanks… Thursday September 15… H&C day 39 – 12,643 steps…
Today I am grateful for adorable pictures of my little book Sacred Sites: Glastonbury back in its magical home 🙂
I was amused that I turned on Chisel Cardio – and just stood there and stared at Autumn for a minute, not sure I could actually bring myself to do it. But I shook it off and got it done – often times it’s sheer will power and stubbornness that get me through…
I’m glad that I got heaps done at the magazines…
And grateful I did some editing on the way to work and back…

With thanks… Friday September 16… H&C day 40 – 11,065 steps…
Wishing everyone so much love, joy and magic on this beautiful full moon night. May its sweet light illuminate you with inspiration and inner wisdom this month, and inspire you to work towards your dreams and goals, and may you harness the energy of the eclipse for a little extra enchantment… Bright blessings, and blessed bee xx
Today I am grateful for a fun catch up with the Story Queens, and plots and plans for upcoming events…
I’m glad I got some editing done on the train up to the Central Coast and back (although I did fall asleep for a little bit, oops!)…
I’m happy I got up early enough to work out before running to the station – Hammer Power today, not my best effort cos I’m so tired, but I got it done 🙂
And I’m grateful for a wonderful Cute Night with Juz 🙂

With thanks… Saturday September 17… H&C day 41 – 10,145 steps…
Today I spent most of the day collapsed on the couch, exhausted and mentally drained, so I did a tiny bit of work then chilled out for the rest of the day, reading (Fight For Me by KA Last), watching dvds with Juz (Legends of Tomorrow), drinking tea…
And I’m glad I finally mustered up the energy to work out just before dinner – I saw Chisel Balance on the schedule and just couldn’t face it, so Pump it was 🙂 Funny how 65 minutes of a fun workout is preferable to 35 minutes of something else…

With thanks… Sunday September 18… H&C day 42 – 10,396 steps…
Today I am grateful to Juz for a cute date day, coming with me to the Storks preview, drinking coffee and dreaming about new adventures, skipping through the rain and just generally chilling out together…
I’m grateful that I managed to pass 10,000 steps for the day for Steptember – sometimes it’s hard to hit, but I’m being sponsored so there’s no way I won’t get it done…
And I’m grateful for reading, and an episode of Legends, and not so grateful but horrifyingly fascinated by a doco about Trump supporters then one on white supremacists in the US. It’s a scary world we live in!

Legends of Tomorrow, teaWith thanks… Monday September 19… H&C day 43 – 12,510 steps…
Tonight I’m grateful for time with Juz when I made it home from work, and time to read, and getting to bed by 11.30…
I am grateful that I got lots of work done at the magazines…
I’m happy I got up early enough to work out – Total Body Chisel, which I think is my fave Chisel workout – and that I managed to squeeze in some short walks and stair climbs to pass 12.5K steps…
I’m glad I’m catching up on these notes at last…
And I can’t wait to be able to get back to my book tomorrow!

With thanks… Tuesday September 20… H&C day 44 – 10,133 steps…
Today I am so grateful that I had time at home to work on my book. Not sure why this one is the hardest by a long shot, but hopefully it will be worth it all in the end!
I’m grateful for a beautiful message from someone who just read the Mists trilogy and really enjoyed it.
I’m grateful for an awesome workout – Max Hammer Strength. I went up in weights on pretty much every move, which felt good (and will make me sore, in a good way, tomorrow). I’d been feeling a bit over it for the last week, so it was nice to be inspired again…
And I’m grateful for an awesome night with Juz and the Diggers. More political debate than laughs tonight, but in a good way 🙂

Anniversary, Ostara, MabonWith thanks… Wednesday September 21… H&C day 45 – 12,154 steps… Anniversary Eve…
Tonight I am grateful for a beautiful night with Juz, celebrating our anniversary eve. It’s eleven years since we ran away to New York to get married, in Juz’s dream location, then honeymooned in Glastonbury so I could share my heart with him…I’m grateful for beautiful gifts, and gorgeous flowers, and lovely cards and words, and a night alone together in the paradisical realm we’ve created in the middle of the city…
I’m glad I got up early to work out before work – Iso Strength Chisel today, in which 10 seconds feels like forever, ha ha.
And I’m glad I got lots done at the magazines, that a migraine didn’t totally derail me, and that I managed to leave pretty much on time so we could begin our magical evening…

With thanks… Thursday September 22… 10,588 steps… Happy Anniversary, and Ostara and Mabon blessings…
Wishing everyone in the southern hemisphere a magical spring equinox, and everyone in the north an enchanted autumn equinox. Enjoy this beautiful day of light and dark in balance, of night and day of equal length, and of inner and outer in harmony. Lots of love xx
Today I am so grateful for the beautiful sunshiny spring morning. It was a rest day in Hammer and Chisel, and I decided to take it – I got up early and for once wasn’t rushing frantically to get to work – I took the long-way-around train, and got to breathe in the beauty of Circular Quay all sparkly and dazzling with sunshine on water, plus get more book editing done, then walk through Hyde Park and still be early for work 🙂
I’m glad I got lots done at the magazines, and that there were a few funny moments amongst the deadline craziness, like testing out our Ben and Holly bubble wand in the kitchen with my publisher (it worked, phew!)… And it made me grateful that we celebrated our anniversary last night, since I didn’t get home til late 🙁
But I’m grateful for a little bit of time with Juz when I did finally get home, and cute little notes that we’d left each other, and doing a bit more writing/editing before falling asleep…

Anniversary, Hammer and ChiselWith thanks… Friday September 23… H&C day 47 – 10,202 steps…
Today I am grateful that I got lots of work done on the book – and even started laying out the first few chapters to test out a few things. It’s finally coming together!
I’m grateful for the beauty of the flowers Juz bought me – they smell so beautiful, and the first gorgeous tiger lily burst into bloom today, and it looks like there will be a new one unfurling every day for the next week or two 🙂
I’m grateful for an awesome (and awesomely hard) workout – Total Body Hammer left my shoulders burning, and I went to failure on every move – had to pause once or twice to get my last couple of reps in.
And I’m grateful for a beautiful night in with Juz, drinking tea, catching up on our days, dreaming and scheming, watching The Wedding Singer, reading, then me doing a bit more editing while Juz got back to his new Spider-Man epic… It’s been a magical week…

A week just gone…
It’s been a crazy week, as the Wheel turns, and September ends.
I’m grateful to my two friends who did Steptember with me – together we walked 1,135,838 steps in 28 days, and raised more than $800 for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance. And I’m grateful to the lovely friends who sponsored me…
I’m happy that I got a little bit of work done on the book, although not as much as I would have liked…
I’m grateful for a cute day out with Juz last weekend – a long walk, Suicide Squad at the movies, soy chai, dinner out, then an awesome day at home the day after…
I’m glad I got heaps done at the magazines, since I have to get ahead so I can go on holiday 🙂 Long days, but it will be worth it…
I’m grateful for tea…
I’m grateful that my replacement credit card arrived so quickly – annoying that there was another fraudulent charge, and inconvenient that I have to ring to update all my automatic payments for charities and stuff, but I’m glad it was spotted and sorted out so soon…
I’m glad I finished two months of a workout program, Hammer and Chisel. It was disappointing results wise, but I’m glad I did it – it’s always good to try something new, and change it up, and there were a few workouts that I really loved and will do again…
Today was a pretty crappy day – but when I walked up to the post office to post out an order in the late afternoon, I saw a massive butterfly, which made me smile, and the sun turned everything golden in that magical way, and I saw the first little star jasmine blossoms, and walked past a patch of tiny violets and inhaled the gorgeous scent of orange jessamine, which all made me smile. And tonight was Cute Night, so all is well 🙂
